Oman: The Jewel of Arabia

Far from the skyscrapers of its neighbors, the Sultanate of Oman has preserved its authenticity and wild landscapes. It is a land of contrasts where arid mountains plunge into a turquoise sea, and red sand deserts meet verdant oases (Wadis). Oman is an invitation to slow travel, discovering a millennial culture and legendary hospitality.

Our Local Tip

Wild camping is legal and very safe everywhere in Oman (except military/private zones). Renting a 4×4 with a rooftop tent is the best way to experience the adventure, sleeping on a beach or atop a dune.

5 Good Reasons to Go

  • The Wadis: Wadi Shab and Wadi Bani Khalid are spectacular natural oases with emerald freshwater pools.
  • The Desert: The Wahiba Sands offer the unique experience of endless dunes and nights under the stars.
  • Culture and History: The forts of Nizwa and Bahla, and the preserved traditional architecture of the villages.
  • Beaches and Sea: Miles of wild coastline, dolphins, turtles at Ras al Jinz, and diving spots.
  • Safety and Welcome: An extremely safe country where hospitality is a fundamental value.
